Im cruising down I-75, I just hit the $1.50 toll for the east bound trip through the everglades, we’re cruising along at a moderate speed of 85-ish. We, being myself, and a few other cars, bound for the east coast and Miami Area. . . .
As I look around, to the left and right, I see nothing but modified swamp, fenced to not keep us out, but to keep the wildlife in.
Im watching some of the birds about: herons, hawks, vultures, crows, and some sandpipers. They hunt, and clean up all in a glorious chain of events categorized by natural selection and the food chain.
And Im thinking, boy we must really think we are something, a threat, an endangerment to this planet. We try so hard to save our planet. Recycle this, reuse that, clean up, dont litter. dont throw crap into the ocean. Then it dawned on me, George Carlin was right. Mother Earth watches over us, lets us run our course. Maybe this planet has its own agenda. Perhaps, we are here for a reason. Maybe there were too many of certain types of species, and this plague was created to wipe them out, to make room, for new and better species, for the next evolution of the planet.
Perhaps the earth did let man survive because it wanted plastic, and it new we could be stupid enough to make it. Plastic isnt articifial. Its natural. Everything is natural. It all comes from the Earth.
So, this plague was derived to wipe out the non needed species, and when its job is done, that plague will be removed, and the Earth will move about its business like is has for millions of years. – the cycle will carry on.
Who knows maybe this plague called MAN has run its course, and maybe, just maybe, Earth has decided its time to progress. What better way to stop this plague of Man from further desecrating the planet than slowing its reproductive process, killing a plague with a virus, something like AIDS.
Just some thoughts, as I travel through the serenity of the Alley, inhabited by Alligators, who will watch us all come and go. Notice who keeps their mouths shut? Notice what survives?
